| Jesus said the
story below would be shared whenever this gospel (Kingdom) would be preached.
I have yet to obey this and thus fulfill God's will on this manner on this
website (as I do proclaim the Kingdom Gospel).
Brokeness is a vital part of the salvation
of the soul, as seen here:
The
Salvation of the Soul
As well as an important part of the Kingdom
Gospel as I mentioned above, and is proclaimed here:
The
Gospel of The Kingdom
Here is the story:
Math 26:
6: Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in
the house of Simon the leper,
7: There came unto him a woman having
an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head,
as he sat at meat.
8: But when his disciples saw it, they
had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9: For this ointment might have been
sold for much, and given to the poor.
10: When Jesus understood it, he said
unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon
me.
11: For ye have the poor always with
you; but me ye have not always.
12: For in that she hath poured this
ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.
13: Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever
this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also
this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
This event prophesied of the coming baptism
of suffering Jesus would soon partake of. I will quote the baptism of suffering
below. But let me 1st explain the story of the alabaster box of ointment.
To get to the costly fragrance one had
to get to the center. The same is true for most fruit. To gain the juice
the outer must be broken. To gain the spirit, and the fruits thereof, one
must have his outer man broken to get the inner man manifested.
2 Cor 4:16: For which cause we faint
not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day
by day.
Eph 3:16: That he would grant you, according
to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit
in the inner man;

Baptism - Baptism into
Suffering
Math 20: MKJV
20 ¶ Then
the mother of Zebedee's children came to Him with her sons, worshiping
and desiring a certain thing from Him.
21 And He said
to her, What do you desire? She said to Him, Grant that these my two sons
may sit in Your kingdom, the one on Your right hand and the other on the
left.
22 But Jesus
answered and said, You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink
of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the
baptism that I am baptized with? They said to Him, We are able.
23 And He said
to them, You shall indeed drink of My cup and be baptized with
the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and
on My left is not Mine to give, but to those for whom it has been prepared
by My Father.
Here we see Jesus
claims to have a baptism coming. This was not John's baptism, because He
did that already. He connects it to a cup. Let's read about this cup.
Math 26: MKJV
36 ¶ Then
Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane. And He said to the disciples,
Sit here while I go and pray there.
37 And He took
Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with Him, and He began to be sorrowful
and very heavy.
38 Then He said
to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Wait here and
watch with Me.
39 And He went
a little further and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father,
if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will,
but as You will .
40 And He came
to the disciples and found them asleep. And He said to Peter, What! Could
you not watch with Me one hour?
41 Watch and
pray that you enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing,
but the flesh is weak.
42 He went away
again the second time and prayed, saying, My Father, if this cup
may not pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.
43 And He came
and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.
44 And He left
them and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same word.
45 Then He came
to His disciples and said to them, Sleep on now and take your rest. Behold,
the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46 Rise, let
us be going; behold, he who is betraying Me is at hand.
This is the cup and
baptism Jesus spoke of. It is the baptism of suffering. Jesus chose the
place called Gethsemane to drink this cup. Gethsemane means "wine press".
It was here that Jesus for the 1st and only time, struggled with God's
will. The 1st prayer Jesus said: if it is possible, let this cup pass
from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will
He asked the cup
be passed or taken from Him, but He added: not as I will, but as You
will
Jesus' will was different
from the Father at this point. Then at the 2nd & 3rd prayer He said:
if
this cup may not pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done
He has now accepted
to drink it, if it is the Father's will. After the 3rd time, He had concluded
it was the Father's will.
This baptism is the
denial of our will. It is suffering the denial of self and soul. Jesus
spoke many times to deny the soul. Many translations translated soul into
a different word. Here are some examples:
Math 10: MKJV
39 He who finds
his life shall lose it. And he who loses his life for My sake shall find
it.
Math 16: NKJV
25 For whoever
desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My
sake will find it.
26 For what profit
is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or
what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
The word life is
the greek word "psuche" which better translates as soul. I discuss the
difference between the soul and the spirit here:
The
Salvation of the Soul
Jesus did not sin. At the point where He
desired to do different than the Father, He went in prayer. This wasn't
easy for Him and He is perfect, so it won't be easy for us. that's why
it's called the Baptism of Suffering.
This cup and baptism was so difficult Jesus
sweat blood:
Luke 22: MKJV
42 saying, Father, if You are willing,
remove this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.
43 And an angel appeared to Him from
Heaven, strengthening Him.
44 And being in an agony He prayed
more earnestly. And His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling
down to the ground.
I discuss the relevance of the blood here:

What many people do not realize was that
it was His soul that was sacrificed. Yes, His body had to die. But look
at this:
Isa 53: MKJV
10 ¶ Yet it pleased the LORD to
crush Him; to grieve Him; that He should put forth His soul as a guilt-offering.
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the will of the LORD
shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the fruit of the travail
of His soul. He shall be fully satisfied. By His knowledge shall My
righteous Servant justify for many; and He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide to Him with
the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has
poured out His soul to death; and He was counted among the transgressors;
and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.
God got tired of flesh sacrifices:
Isa 1: MKJV
11 To what purpose is the multitude
of your sacrifices to Me? says the LORD; I am full of the burnt offerings
of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I do not delight in the blood of
bulls, or of lambs, or of he-goats.
12 When you come to appear before Me,
who has required this at your hand, to trample My courts?
13 Bring no more vain sacrifice; incense
is an abomination to Me; the new moon and sabbath, the going to meeting;
I cannot endure evil and the assembly!
14 Your new moons and your appointed
feasts My soul hates; they are a trouble to Me; I am weary to bear them
.
15 And when you spread out your hands,
I will hide My eyes from you; yea, when you make many prayers, I will not
hear; your hands are full of blood.
What God wants is for us to be a living
sacrifice and do His will.
Rom 12: MKJV
1 ¶ I beseech you therefore, brothers,
by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you
what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.
Many christians will come to God having
done many great works for Him and in His name but He will deny them:
Math 7: KJ21
21 "Not every one that
saith unto Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but
he that doeth the will of My Father who is in Heaven.
22 Many will say to Me
in that Day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name, and in Thy
name have cast out devils, and in Thy name done many wonderful works?'
23 And then will I profess
unto them, `I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.'
I discuss this in more depth here:
The
Gospel of The Kingdom - part one
Knowing and doing the Father's will is
NOT easy. If it was difficult for Jesus it will be difficult for us.
Philp 2: MKJV
5 For let this mind be in you which
was also in Christ Jesus,
6 who, being in the form of God, thought
it not robbery to be equal with God,
7 but made Himself of no reputation,
and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness
of men.
8 And being found in fashion as a man,
He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the
cross.
Heb 5: MKJV
8 though being
a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
9 And being perfected,
He became the Author of eternal salvation to all those who obey Him,
We must follow His
example:
Math 16: MKJV
24 ¶ Then
Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him
deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
Jesus is NOT asking
us to die physically or to die on a cross, but to die to self. I discuss
in greater depth the denying of self in the 9 qualifications of discipleship
here:

Here is why it is called the baptism of
suffering:
Philp 3: MKJV
10 that I may know Him and the power
of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable
to His death;
---------------------------
Jesus became broken in Gethsemane, so much
so, He sweat blood. Brokeness is important, we become broken to our will,
to learn God's will. And during such times we often learn God's will when
we are uncertain beforehand. Brokeness is not fun, yet the Epistles tell
us to rejoice in such, because of the great benefits of it.
Col 1:24: Who now rejoice in my sufferings
for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ
in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
1 Pet 4:13: But rejoice, inasmuch as
ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be
revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Brokeness is important to God and important
for us to learn of God's ways and to know His will for our life. It is
also an act of worship.
Ps 34:18: The LORD is nigh unto them
that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Ps 51:17: The sacrifices of God are
a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
But see, while we are alive, God gives
us a choice. We can choose to be broken, when the times come, or if we
refuse, God will break us later, at judgment. But such a brokeness then,
will be into much smaller pieces:
Math 21: MKJV
44 And he who falls on this Stone shall
be broken, but on whomever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
So brokeness, although not fun, is much
better than being ground into powder. Such a judgment I discuss here:
Eternal
Judgment: of the Believer
Many mock my gospel. Many believe I am
preaching falseness. Let me say now, I did not choose to be rejected by
men. It was my will even in High School, to marry young, raise a family,
and live a simple happy life. My soul still covets this at times. But if
I had such a life, this website and ministry would not exist. Compare this
website to my original website here:
http://www.angelfire.com/wi/teachings/
It's come a long way, and this has been
because of brokeness. And God is still not done with me. Just this week,
I experienced a hard time, and through it I have learned a responsibility
God wants me to take more seriously. Our walk is one of continual work
by God in our souls. This is why from time to time, there are updates on
this site, as more revelation comes along, and things become clearer.
Does this mean I or we, take brokeness
unwillingly? By no means. Thus why the epistles say rejoice. It is quite
true I would have chosen a different path than the one I am on now, but
such a path, though it be my will would have less satisfaction. Finding
and doing God's will always brings about more joy and peace. This does
not mean without persecution or brokeness, but through this we find more
of God.
I wish to speak briefly of false brokeness.
This was often portrayed in Catholicism years ago. People would flog themselves,
(Muslims still do it these days), crawl up stone stairs (see the new Martin
Luther movie), and do other self works of pain. This is a religious spirit
or self martyrdom. This does not bear fruit for God. If I wanted to be
wacky and have people think strangely of me, perhaps I would wear a billboard
and be standing downtown warning people to submit to Babylon's government
to save their lives. Doing such would not create a website, with a gospel
being preached. It would only turn people away. Many turn away from these
pages, including my own wife. Nonetheless there are years of work here,
fruit manifested, with hours to be read. What fruit would there be if I
stood on a corner with a sign? Straw, mere pieces easily burned up. Don't
get me wrong. I am not advocating the legitimacy of my gospel by the fact
I have endured brokeness, it is the opposite. The legitimacy of my brokeness,
shows fruit. But every page I write must be lined up with scripture. And
thus so was the will of God for Jesus. Jesus knew He had to die. He said
it before He went to Gethsemane, He had the scriptures before and after,
but Gethsemane made Him to know it was God's will.
We have the OT scriptures and can see it
was God's will, thus Gethsemane is not for us, but was for Christ, and
is for us an example of what we must do, to learn God's will. Of which
the fruit must always be in agreement with scripture.
