In such teachings he explains how many
men of God get a revelation from God and then camp on that teaching and
refuse to move on with God into the next thing. Randy has fell into this
very trap.
For years he has taught on the fatherhood
principle and spiritual fathers. And slowly it became more and more domineering
into a shepherding type
movement (click on that link to learn more about such errors). It started
years before I got there with a teaching called Kisser/Cleaver. This teaching
came from an incident from the book of Ruth, where Naomi has 2 daughters
in law. One kisses her and leaves, the other cleaves to her and follows.
Randy used this teaching to add sheep to his congregation. Many people
would come to CiM to attend the school there and then leave. Just as I
did, but that teaching caused me to stay and obey man instead of God.
But this became worse over the years. I
saw the administration of CiM refuse to marry couples unless the church
had a prophecy over the 2 who wanted to be married or if one of the elders
blessed the arrangement by getting a "word from God" themselves. It was
over this very issue which caused me to leave CiM.
After I left, Randy got worse, and began
to tell people that he knew God's will for their lives. Telling them they
had to do what he said if they wanted God's will.
Do you know that Randy knows his problem?
I heard him say it in a service in public. He claimed he would not build
the temple. He would be unsuccessful in his continuing vision. Why? He
claimed he was a man of war like David.
He will not see the apostolic take
over. For 2 reasons;
1. Because he is a man of war
2. Because that is NOT the plan of God
The church will become united again some
day as Randy sees, in power. But this will take place after God's judgment
on the church.
No, the Kingdom of God will not come as
Randy hopes, and he will not be ushering it in, not unless he gets left
behind...
There are some who have left the Church
in Marshall that have taken this Kingdom to come message to far. It is
the Kingdom Nowers, or even the Manifest Sons of God movement. I lost some
dear folks to a church split at Marshall on this. Some folks believe that
if we become holy enough we will be able to walk through walls and such.
And this in turn will cause Jesus to return and begin the millennia. Randy
doesn't follow that (At least while I was in CiM...), but is close enough
that such folk keep getting found in the church that fall for it. Many
of these folks now believe in Universalism, which is that everyone will
be saved. Some folks even claim satan will be saved. This is ridiculous
and I deal with Universalism here:
Randy has confessed that the accusations
here on the internet are true. (I believe this occurred Sept 24, 06.) This
means according to Math 18 we should not treat Randy as a "publican and
heathen". But we can "mark and avoid" him according to Rom 16:17 as I shared
on the top of this page.Because, he and they have not repented
as they should, even though he confessed to the accusations against him.
For example on Oct 8, 06 Jeff said, "be wronged, eat it, and shut up" and
went on to say if they were wrong it was God ordained. This clearly is
a wrong and is not fruit of repentance.
Math 3:8: Bring forth therefore fruits
meet for repentance
I am not going to delve, at this time,
if this is the wrong kind of sorrow such as Judas had, similarly discussed
in 2 Cor 7. Some may attempt to call CiM a cult because of that. I am going
to think the best however, and err on the side of safety in this judgment
for my own sake. Therefore while they may indeed have confessed their sins
and errors, they have not changed anything, have not brought forth fruits
of repentance, and Randy still remains at blame and has forfeited his scriptural
qualification to be an elder or bishop, this may or may not also be true
about other elders at CiM. I discuss the difference between consequence
and condemnation here:

So my declaration here is that CiM is not
a cult, but that Randy's ministry is illegitimate. Because he is not qualified
as an elder, and remains unrepentant.
Also Randy has claimed, without naming
the author, that Watchman Nee is a favorite of his. I cannot remember the
quote, but he said something that he believed everything that Nee wrote.
Without naming Nee, of which I discovered later, privately.
Did you know Watchman Nee corrects one
of Randy's pet teachings?
Randy teaches (or used to) that the born
again christian is without sin. He teaches that it is the soul that sins,
but the believer is now sin free in his spirit and Randy calls this the
divine nature.
This Divine Nature teaching has caused
a ruckus by many, thinking Randy teaches that humans become gods. That
is NOT what he teaches at all, but that sin nature leaves and God Himself
dwells in the human spirit. The Divine Nature is God Himself.
Nee will not doubt, and neither do I, that
believers are indeed the temple of God, but we still have sin in our person.
Nee proves this point by using one of Randy's own teachings against this.
Randy has another teaching called "The
Fruit of it's Kind". Nee say's if 2 born again christians got married and
had a baby, that if they truly were without sin, their baby would be born
sinless. It would be a fruit of its kind. This of coarse does not happen.
Because, the parents are not without sin.
Those of you familiar with the Randy camp
should know mankind is born into sin, even within christian marriages,
thus Randy should realize through his own teaching he has an error here
(or did). Experience itself should teach us this.
Watchman Nee proves this further with scripture:
Rom 6: 6: Knowing this, that our old man is
crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth
we should not serve sin.
The word destroyed gives the wrong impression,
it actually means "unemployed" according to Nee, in Greek.

inactivate, inoperative
a) to cause
a person or thing to have no further efficiency
b) to deprive
of force, influence, power
2) to cause to cease,
put an end to, do away with, annul, abolish
a) to cease,
to pass away, be done away
b) to be severed
from, separated from, discharged from, loosed from any one
c) to terminate
all intercourse with one
The work of the cross, unemploys sin. It
is still there, it has been made without working power. But it is still
there for you to choose, and choose daily if you so desire. I suggest reading
the rest of Rom 6.
Nee died in like 1967 or so, long before
Randy ever came to ministry, Nee through his teachings, shows the error
that Randy took up in this area. But besides that, I believe Randy's Merismos
teaching is very good, Watchman Nee teaches similar things. And so do I
like here:
I have been told that the late Kenneth
Hagin Sr. wrote a book about Randy Shankle and the apostolic movement.
I do not know how true this is, but the book does seem to dismantle many
of Randy's stances. The book does not name Randy or the Church in Marshall,
but does seem to hint or take a direction towards correcting Randy at times.
The book is fairly good, but I disagree with Hagin on a few points. I do
not remember all these details, therefore I cannot list them here, but
I do recommend the book for all Randy Shankle observers. It is called:
He
Gave Gifts Unto Men - A Biblical Perspective of Apostles, Prophets,
and Pastors.
I have heard Randy speak of him going to
Hagin years ago, and pleading with him to set up spiritual sons, as Randy
believed that Hagin's son, was not taking up his father's vision. Randy
said that Hagin seemed to agree with this, supposedly, but never did anything
about it. The connection between the 2 of them never clicked and never
went any where.
Randy's 2nd wife, Gloria, (I discovered
much later he had a 1st wife but was divorced, I do not know the details)
died of cancer, sometime shortly after I left. The story is that several
people got cancer and died shortly after I left. It was a bragging right
that the church had never had any funerals while I was there. I don't know
if this is a sign that Randy's ministry had lost it's glory some short
time after I left, or is coincidence. Personally I do not believe in coincidence.
But I refuse to take any dogmatic stance on this because I have no word
from God. Please note, I do not believe nor am I implying that my departure
has anything to do with the loss of Randy's glory. I do believe that I
did get a hold of God's will during the time that the glory was fading.
Randy supposedly met Gloria through Kenneth
Copeland, and Copeland was trained by or connected to Hagin. Gloria, supposedly
was Copeland's secretary, and Randy met her when he met with Copeland years
earlier. The relationship between Copeland and Randy never went well either.
When I discovered Gloria had died it struck
me bad. I learned about it probably 2 years after it happened or more.
I was very saddened, I thought Gloria a wonderful woman.
Randy used to teach about every christian's
responsibility to be a porter. A keeper of the gates. That is, one must
be careful of what enters the eyes, ears, and our homes. He used several
terms in this, and one of them was the "parbar".
A parbar was a place of entry and was protected.
Thus was a term Randy snatched up in his teaching on Divine Authority and/or
The Porter Ministry.
Everyone is a porter, but everyone has
his own parbars to keep. For example, I must keep my eyes and ears under
guard. As well as my home. Funny thing is Randy now breaks past the parbar
into homes just as satan did in the heavenlies.
Is 14: 12: How art thou fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which
didst weaken the nations! 13: For thou hast said in thine heart,
I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the
north: 14: I will ascend above the heights
of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15: Yet thou shalt be brought down
to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Those are the 5 "I will's" of satan. He
attempted to take over heaven but was thrown down...
Lk:10:18: And he said unto them, I beheld
Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Each of us has authority, "parbars", but
we cannot enter into a Parbar that is not ours...
Rom:12:3: For I say, through the grace
given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself
more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as
God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith
2Cor:10:13: But we will not boast of
things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which
God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
Which shows me again, how Randy now is
breaking his own teachings (or has been).
The local church is governed by elders.
The CiM has/had elders and is mostly under the authority of Randy. He pretty
much does what he wants as it appears now, but there was a time where he
had less "care" of the flock and let this in Bruce's hand (and others).
It appears, not by my observation, but
from those who have spoken here, and in emails and in other forums, that
Randy now is the only real elder, and the others are merely puppets. This
was not the case at the time I was there, but even then Randy had problems
with anyone having authority to correct him. Of coarse as I said, this
is not by my direct observation. Though I have communicated with elders
who claimed this.
Why should someone's mistake done to me
or others cause me to be bitter and lose God's blessings. Randy and other
ministers of God, have taught me that not forgiving others keeps you hurt
and away from God, and does not keep them in any pain or judgment.
Math 6: MKJV 14 For if you forgive men their trespasses,
your heavenly Father will also forgive you; 15 but if you do not forgive men their
trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Some may say the use of this scripture
in such a manner would mean I am preaching the loss of salvation. No, I
am not. Just some of God's blessings are lost. We do not obtain heaven
by being sin free (no Catholicism here).
Why let someone who hurt continue to hurt
you? Forgive them and let go. Now, there may be times where you forgive
and shouldn't forget. If someone physically abused you and you knew he
had done so to others and had not changed, and then knew someone who was
going there, you should perhaps warn them for their safety. There are times
where we must remember someone's actions to protect others. Or perhaps
for other reasons, but never for negative purposes.
Please note, Randy has never physically
hurt me or anyone I know.
Do you want to see Randy come down? Do
you want to see him fall? You need to pray for your enemies and love them
is what Jesus taught.
Mt:5:44: But I say unto you, Love your
enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and
pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
How can you get better if you are getting
bitter? Bitterness will take away your betterness, you need to repent,
and forgive him and them.
If he has attacked you. Love him and pray
for him. This former man of God will not succeed and he knows it. The days
of his glory are done. God used him, and may still use him, but not to
the success he hoped for, or to the degree he was used in the past.
I wish to admonish those once again who
have been there and feel hurt. If you are bitter and negative, I believe
that you are forgetting much what you learned. Forgive. Do not forget the
good things, the good teachings.
God called me to Marshall. God called many.
Therefore God knows that there is good stuff there, or there was, to this
day I cannot say how much is good. I am fully persuaded it should be shut
down, but I know that only a miracle can do this. Because men continue
to give Randy authority when God's Word says he is unqualified. Marshall
and Randy have a signature seal on foundations. A majority of their foundational
teachings are right on, from what was taught before 1994. It's the
stuff they build/built on top of that which has bigger problems. Keep the
foundations, correct the errors, and be thankful for the stuff God taught
you. (Do not throw the baby out with the wash water.)
Remember, David wrote many Psalms of woe
and discontentment and God inspired it and many became scripture. It is
true the Bible also says not to murmur. But the Bible also states that
an elder/bishop
must be blameless before men:
1 Tim 3:2: A bishop then must be blameless,
the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality,
apt to teach;
Titus 1:6: If any be blameless, the
husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. :7: For a bishop must be blameless,
as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine,
no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
This is why public officials and men of
God need to have their dirty laundry aired in public when things are out
of hand. That is when they refuse to be corrected in the manner the Bible
tells us to do. When such happens then we are to go to the church, which
what this is all about.
Math 18: 17: And if he shall neglect to hear
them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let
him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
