I won't be discussing why I believe the following information is so factual to me because the Bible tells me so. If you have a problem believing in the Bible -God's Word, I highly suggest going to the link above, before reading further. 

So who is Jesus? First we must recognize Him as God.

He was born from a virgin, 

Matthew 1:23: Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

He was sinless, 

1 Peter 2:22: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 

Resurrected from the dead: 

Acts 1:3: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: 

He forgave sins and healed: 

Mark 2:5: When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. 6: But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 7: Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? 8: And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? 9: Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? 10: But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) 11: I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. 12: And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

He is Omniscient: 

John 16:30: Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

John 21:17: He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

His Omnipresence: 

Eph 4:10: He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

His Omnipotence: 

Phil 3:21: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. 

Eternally pre-existent: 

Isa 9:6: For unto us a 'CHILD' is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The 'EVERLASTING' Father, The Prince of Peace.

Micah 5:2: But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2: The same was in the beginning with God.
 

Immutable (unchangeable): 

Heb 1:8: But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9: Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 10: And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12: And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Heb 13:8: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Jesus is the Creator: 

John 1:3: All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Col 1:16: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Heb 1:2: Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
 

In the Old Testament, the LORD is the only One who can save people from their sins (Isa 43:25; 44:22; 63:16). As the New Testament opens, an angel declares to Joseph, ". . . you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins" (Matt 1:21 see also Eph 1:7). Furthermore, Peter quotes the prophet Joel as saying, ". . . whoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved" (Acts 2:21). Later, Peter claims that only the name of Jesus can save (Acts 4:12). 

Jesus is treated like He is God:

He is worshiped by humans and angels (Matt 14:33; 28:9; John 9:38; Heb 1:6; Rev 5:8-14; examples where the wrong is stopped: Acts 12:20-23; Rev 19:10). He receives the kind of "service" that is only allowed to God (Rev 22:3f Greek--latreuo; example where wrong is stopped: Matt 4:10). People even pray to Jesus (Acts 7:59f; 2 Cor 12:8; 1 John 5:13-15). 

Titles of Deity are held by both God and Jesus; yet, these titles are such that only One can possess them." The Alpha and the Omega; the First and the Last" (Isa 44:6; Rev 1:8, 11, 17f; 2:8; 21:6; 22:13).
"The King of kings and the Lord of lords" (1 Tim 6:15; Rev 17:14; 19:16). 
Jesus is said to be the "Rock" who sustained the Israelites during their wilderness wanderings. However, Israel at the time believed the LORD their God was their "Rock" (1 Cor 10:4; Deut 32:4). 

In the epistles, Paul juxtaposes God and Jesus when referring to "our Savior" (1 Tim 1:1; 2:3; 2 Tim 1:10; Titus 1:3; 2:10, 13; 3:4, 6). But the LORD says, ". . . there is no savior besides Me" (Hos 13:4, Isa 43:11). 

Jesus said He came from heaven:

John 3:13: And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 

Here are some scriptures showing Jesus' deity:
 

Phil 2:6: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God

1 Tim 3:16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Rom 8:9: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Col 2:9: For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Titus 2:13: Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ

Heb 1:8: But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

John 8:24: I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that 'I AM', ye shall die in your sins. 58: Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, 'I AM'.

Exodus 314: And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

John 10:30: I and my Father are one. 31: Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32: Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33: The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

This next one is my favorite:

Acts 20:28: Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 

Did you notice it was God who had purchased with His own blood? Who was it that shed His blood? It was none other than Jesus, this scripture said it was God. So Jesus is God!!!

To know about Jesus we must know what He wasn't as well. There are false teachings and false Christs being preached:

Math 24:24 "For false Christs and false prophets will perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect-if that were possible."

2 Cor 11:4 "For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached..."

Some preach that Jesus was not a physical person, or human. The Bible says He came in the flesh and we should test these spirits, prophets, teachings. 

1 John 4:1-3 & 2 John 7

Some people say Jesus was an angel. The Word of God says otherwise. 

Heb 1:2-13 King James: Heb 2:16 "For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham."

So we know by scripture which can be proven in our own lives that Jesus was: God, man, and NOT an angel.

I will now discuss further Christ's deity, that is His place in the Godhead or otherwise known today as the trinity. Man was created in the image of God (Gen 1:26). Man has 3 parts (1 Thess 5:23). By this, one can see that God has 3 parts as well. But I will use more scriptures to further evidence this doctrine.
 

Gen 1:26 - in OUR image - God has more than one person
Gen 3:22 plural in God
Is 44:6 - Jesus redeemed us and is Lord and God
Is 9:6 - child, God, everlasting Father
John 1:1-18 - the Word was with God and the Word was God, made (into) flesh
The Lord even freely moves from the singular to the plural-- "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" (Isa 6:8). 
Hos 1:7 with Titus 2:13 - God is Savior, Jesus
Math 1:23
Acts 20:28 - God purchased with HIS OWN Blood
1 Timothy 1:16 God was manifest in the flesh
1 John 5:20 Jesus the True God
1 Tim 2:6 One God
1 John 5:7 the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one
John 5:26 Father and Son have separate lives
John 10:30 Jesus and the Father are one

It is rather obvious when you look at the scriptures that Jesus was God, yet there was also God the Father in heaven as well. So as not to allow the false doctrine that the Father came in the flesh one can read accounts in the gospels where the Father spoke out of heaven while Jesus was in the earth:

1. Math 3:13-17, Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22
2. John 12:24-30
3. Math 17:1-9, Luke 9:28-36

Some say that the Holy Spirit is only the force or power of God and that He isn't a person. But the Word of God shows otherwise:

Perhaps the best example showing that the Holy Spirit is God: 

Acts 5:
3: But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4: Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

I have established with the Bible that God is three persons. However, some say that there is more than 1 god and some also believe that the Father and Christ are separate gods. The Bible does speak of other gods. So how can the Bible also say that there is only one God or no other gods in the following scriptures?
 

Is 43:10-12
Is 44:6
Mark 12:29,32
1 Tim 2:5
Jam 2:19

We must remember God cannot contradict Himself, therefore we must search the scriptures diligently to understand this correctly.

Galatians 4:8 says these gods, by nature, are not real. In 1 Cor 8:4-6 we begin to understand a little more:
 

"...we know that an idol is nothing at all in this world and that there is no God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many gods and many lords, yet for us there is one God..."

Deut 32:16-17 "They made Him jealous with their foreign gods and angered Him with their detestable idols. They sacrificed to demons, which are not God-gods they had not known, gods that recently appeared, gods your fathers did not fear."

1 Cor 10:20-21 sums up this point well:
 

"No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons."

So when the scripture refers to satan as the god of this world and men as gods, this is in a negative sense. Will we serve ourselves as a god or have others serve us as such? Will we serve satan or other demons who desire the place of godship in our life? No, the Bible clearly states that there is one TRUE God and the others are false.
